Lurgio News for December 4, 2015

LURGIO NEWS
December 4, 2015

Dear Lurgio Students, Parents and Staff,

This morning in the Lurgio Media Center our Books for Breakfast group hosted one of Bedford’s newest authors, Abby Hibbard. Abby, a former Lurgio student and current senior at BHS, met with our students and staff to share her experience as a novelist. The students had many questions, and Abby wowed them with detailed answers and specific descriptions of her writing process. If you would like to read Abby’s books, you can access them for free on iBooks and for a minimal charge on Amazon.  She writes under the pen name of Devlin Richards and her first novel is Tempeste.  Lurgio is very proud of our former student and grateful for the time she spent with our aspiring middle school authors.

Enjoy,

Ed

Book Buzz
Books for Breakfast hosted BHS Senior Abby Hibbard today to discuss her writing process and to share her published trilogy.  Abby publishes under the pseudonym Devlin Richards. Her books are entitled Tempeste: Aubrey Rising Book 1, Zephyra: Aubrey Rising Book 2, and Mercuriel: Aubrey Rising Book 3.

After years of hardship, fifteen year old Aubrey finally feels like she has found a life that she can be happy with.  But just when she's starting to feel like a normal teenage girl, she discovers she has budding magical powers.  And not only that, but she's been thrust into the middle of a war, with a handful of people like her fighting three sisters, Tempeste, Zephyra, and Mercurial, who want to protect the magical way of life by eliminating the entire human race.  The only hope is to find the Daughter of the Wilderness, a mystical being who they hope holds the key to defeating the three sisters.  Aubrey quickly needs to embrace her new life, because a battle is coming.  Will she be strong enough to help find the Daughter of the Wilderness and fight in the war against Tempeste, the first of the three sisters?
